(Make this count, it will decide approval/denial) My characters name would be Ron Skylar a former US ARMY SSG that has recently been honorably discharged after serving for 8 years. He has always had life goals that he has wanted to complete to include becoming a police officer. SSG Ron Skylar is 25 years old and joined the military when he was 17. He never thought he could get far in life after a divorce where he ended up losing custody of his 2 small children due to the judge siding with the female. Ron Skylar has now devoted his life and has committed to doing anything and everything possible to get to his career/ life goal. Don't be so quick to think he is all good because this SSG has some issues and still needs to make ends meet. He loves to fight, he has calmed down but he will be the first to jump if he is challenged. He has done some drugs in the past not anything hard but He is a hard worker just trying to make ends meet for now but will do everything to get to his dream. although he may make some mistakes along the way with fights, drugs and maybe an occasional bank robbery.

I would advise against too much of a criminal history for your character if you want him to make it to law enforcement.
