You’ve got two options for setting up your character appearance. Creating that character on day one in your apartment just don’t forget to save your character or create your base character and then go to a clothing store to purchase clothing. Use different save names for different outfits when setting them up in a clothing store so you can easily get to them later.
Step 1a – Choose your preferred Names sex, nationality, birthdate. Once you create your character, you will be asked for starter apartment location. Pick one and spawn in. This is where the fun of creating your character begins.
Step 1B – Using the mouse navigate to the inheritance, face selection, and other body customization options. Clicking left and right arrows to select different facial features both female and male faces and all skin tones are represented, keep scrolling till you find one you like.
Step 2 – Navigate to Clothing, click the arrows to cycle through the clothing options, clicking textures arrows changes colors and other looks to that item.
*NOTE – The police uniform shirt available in jackets is OFF Limits to non-police*
****Police Radio/Duty Belt, Hat and uniform textures(including EMS) are OFF limits to civilians. Using these textures in any way is considered impersonation – a charge that results in arrest and jail sentence of not less than 60 minutes Real Time. DON’T DO IT!
When you’re done with your customization, save your ped by clicking the save button. Further customization can be done at clothing shop locations around the map.
When in the clothing shop zone, you will see a prompt letting you know. Hold F1 to open the radial menu and choose Clothing Shop.
Change your clothing around as you choose and save the outfit. Be sure to save the outfit as a unique name. You can also edit existing outfits if you want. If you are part of a group that has uniforms, clothing quick codes can be given to you to load that will automatically give you the uniform. Then you can customize the uniform and save it as an outfit.
*Be sure to save your different outfits in this fashion often, and you will create a library for your different characters and convenient switching between these outfits.
