Oil Rig Worker

Drilling Dynamics is looking for a few good men and women to help them get that black gold, Texas Tea, but this ain’t Jed Clampet’s type of oil drilling. This is high tech offshore rig drilling!

If you’re ready to make the big bucks in oil and gas, then head on down to Postal 19, off Buccaneer Way to the newly built Drilling Dynamics facility. The job can be taken inside the office building marked with a blue dollar sign garage icon.

You can even bring friends along. Invite nearby people to your crew and work as a team. Or work solo if you’re a loaner and want all the money for yourself. Set the clothing to #2 for the work outfit, and when you return to end your shift, choose #1 to put back on your previous outfit.

The job will pop up information on what to do for each task as you get to it. The tasks consist of:

  • Loading containers of supplies on a tug boat. You’ll need to do this one first, using the dock loader vehicle.
  • Taking the boat out to the assigned oil rig in the ocean.
  • Loading containers from the boat onto the oil rig platform, using the rig’s crane loader.
  • Unloading supplies from the containers into the spots they need to go around the rig, by hand.
  • Welding various places that need maintenance repairs.
  • Oil/gas drilling. Once you’re at 100%, you can either stop and return to the office to get paid, or keep drilling. But beware, higher reward comes with higher risk. You may cause an explosion and lose all of the income from drilling for that shift.

Make sure you take food, drink, and basic medical supplies, it’s a long way from shore if something goes wrong.

Once you’re all done, bring the boat back and park it. End your shift there.
